At the summit of our western mountain range, surrounded by a magical setting of wild species and humid microclimates, lies Mount Torra—a fascinating territory that gives rise to the unparalleled BAHAREQUE TORRA coffee.
Mount Torra is undoubtedly one of the most imposing mountains in our country, with an elevation of 4200 meters above sea level. Within its territory, tributaries originate, draining into the slopes of the San Juan and Cauca rivers, and its highest part hosts the Tatamá páramo. Alongside Frontino and El Duende, these are the only three páramos in Colombia that have remained untouched by human alteration.
Located in the departments of Chocó and Valle del Cauca, Mount Torra is immersed among thousands of plant and animal species, accompanied by the splendor of our diverse fauna and flora.
In addition to its natural beauty, Mount Torra holds great cultural and spiritual value for thousands of farmers residing in this region.

WE USE CLEAN ENERGY IN OUR PRODUCTION PROCESSES.
Our environmental commitment is reflected in the use of clean energy through the implementation of solar panels in our production and roasting plants, as well as in the coffee quality laboratories and agrochemical analysis.
- Reduction of 274.90 tons of carbon dioxide emissions per year with a projected further decrease in the long term, reaching 6296.90 tons.
- Equivalent to planting 12.624.63 trees at present and, in the long term, an astonishing figure of 289.181.60 trees.

Since 1963, at the Coffee Farmers’ Cooperative of the Northern Valley, we have been present in the region providing economic, social, and environmental opportunities to coffee communities in the Northern Valley, positively impacting over 1,500 associated coffee-farming families.
Each of our coffee references is the result of the hard work and dedication of these producers.
We carefully select high-quality coffee beans, which are then processed and roasted with precision to highlight their unique flavors and aromas.
We take pride in conducting various social programs, training, and technical support designed to reward the hard work of these producers and stimulate the production of truly exceptional coffee.

At CAFENORTE, we have maintained our commitment to sustainability and the environment by conserving 120 hectares of protected forests located in the municipalities of El Águila, Ansermanuevo, and Argelia. These areas serve as water supply sources for thousands of inhabitants of these municipalities and are habitats for various wild species.
However, our efforts have not been sufficient to guarantee the sustainability of the thousands of hectares surrounding our municipalities.
